Tests and confidence intervals for the spread of datasets

One-sample chi-square variance test — Tests if a sample comes from a Normal distribution with specified variance, against the alternative that it comes from a Normal distribution with a different variance

F-test for ratio of two variances — Tests if two independent samples come from Normal distributions with the same variance, against the alternative that they come from Normal distributions with different variances

Bartlett's M test for homogeneity of variances — Tests if multiple samples come from Normal distributions with the same variance, against the alternative that they come from Normal distributions with different variances

Levene-Brown-Forsythe test — This test is a variant on the standard one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) test, but is applied when the variances of the groups are not homogeneous

Fligner-Killeen median test — A test for homogeneity of variances which is robust against departures from Normality
